In 1999, I took my first training in bodywork, it was a three-day Reiki intensive that quietly but decisively set me on my path. From there, I began studying everything I could in the healing arts: herbalism, flower essences, and a wide range of holistic modalities. I knew I was in the right field, but it wasn’t until 2001, when I enrolled at the Texas Massage Institute, that something truly clicked.

My school was deeply steeped in the old traditions of the Water Cure (traditional naturopathy) and Polarity Therapy, and I took every course they offered—literally. It was there that I found my way into clinical bodywork, studying deep tissue and myofascial therapy under Rick Robinette, author of Trigger Point Therapy. I trained with Rick for over a year, completing more than 200 hours of advanced myofascial and trigger point work, learning to treat headaches, low back pain, whiplash, carpal tunnel syndrome, and other chronic pain conditions.

Throughout the 2000s, I continued to train in everything I could get my hands on, from Shiatsu to Polarity Therapy and beyond. I also began teaching at the very massage school I had attended—partly to help pay for my addiction to advanced training, and partly because I discovered I loved teaching just as much as practicing.

In 2006, I moved from Austin, Texas, to Northampton, Massachusetts, to start a family. I spent much of the following years raising two wonderful humans, teaching in massage therapy programs from Springfield to Somerville, and running a small bodywork practice out of an apothecary in Greenfield, Massachusetts.

During the pandemic, when everything shut down, I took the opportunity to fully commit to studying with the guy I had been longing to study with for years, Tom Myers, author of Anatomy Trains. It was through that work that I deepened my understanding of muscles, fascia, and posture, and my practice shifted from simply helping people out of pain to helping them reshape their bodies, fix fallen arches, improve pelvic tilts, adjust spinal curves, and shift long-term structural patterns that were causing their pain in the first place.

In 2022, I graduated from Anatomy Trains and became certified in Structural Integration.

In 2023, I moved my practice to Northampton, Massachusetts, where I now focus primarily on pain management and posture-based structural work.
